Greenresidential
Automated the manual processes behind the internal systems at Greenresidential, a residential property management company.
The problem
Property management runs on repetition: tenancies, maintenance requests, inspections, renewals, payments, each individually simple and collectively unmanageable by hand once a portfolio grows.
The limit that matters is not software features, it is that every manual step consumes someone’s attention. A team can only hold so many properties before the process itself becomes the constraint, and the usual response — hiring in proportion to the portfolio — is the expensive one.
Constraints
These processes were already running, on real tenancies, with real deadlines attached. Automation had to slot into how the business already worked rather than requiring it to reorganise, and it had to be right — a missed renewal or a dropped maintenance request has a tenant on the other end of it.
What I built
Backend automation in Python against the internal systems, targeting the repetitive operational paths rather than anything customer-facing: the steps that happened the same way every time and only needed a person because nothing else was doing them.
Outcome
A team able to manage a larger portfolio without growing in proportion to it, and operational routine that no longer depended on someone remembering to do it.
